A good walk up a fairly steep road to get into the castle. But you can drive up in a car or small midi coach and park there are several coach bay's and more car bay's nearer the top but the views are spectacular and it's surprising how far you can see bring your binoculars you'll need them if the weather is good. Lots to see take it easy there's still steps to climb and be careful walking round the walls . Take care and enjoy.

highlight of our city break. worth every minute we spent there. views, history, architecture, sun and great people all in one place. what more can you ask for.

Brilliant views from every angle here. Had to walk up as the lift had been out of order due to the storms earlier in the week but it was definitely worth it and not as bad a climb up as I was dreading. You could see for miles. If it had been a clearer day you would have been able to see further. I would definitely recommend a visit to the castle when in Alicante

Entry to castle via a lift that takes you 2 floors up from ground level costing €2.70 per person,once out of lift you are free to roam around the castle,some amazingly spectacular views across Alicante,well detailed facts dotted around so definitely worth reading,there were two places to stop for light bites and drinks,there were two separate toilets around the castle grounds,lots of quite steep slopes to get around but really worth the effort for such a small entry fee,spent around 2 hrs in the grounds so easy to spend longer and great photo opportunities.

Amazing place to visit. We were amazed that you could park free and there are no charges. The views are amazing and the history superb. A must go place.
