Picasso museum is really fantastic. His work is marvelous and breathtaking. You can see his masterpieces in a chronological way. I was surprised with the way he was evolving and finding his unique way to see and express himself. The people who work there are rather bored but helpful.

Worth a visit to get your art fix but cemented my view that Picasso is not for me. Not his later, more famous stuff anyway! Great old building in the Gothic Quarter. Slightly at odds with the modern cubist art. They do free days and slots so worth checking for you poor backpackers!

We did a GetYourGuide morning walking tour of the old historic section of Barcelona to the Picasso Museum. Having the guide was very helpful. There are large descriptions on the walls as work from room to room in the timeline of his life. From his first paintings to his abstract. Seeing and learning about how his upbringing and life experiences reflected in his art was eye opening. I have a greater appreciation for him having been here.

My wife and I had a great time wandering around the museum. The only drawback I had was that on the day we went they didn't have a special collection of any kind so there wasn't a crazy amount of lesser known works, but it was still a beautiful museum with a lot of beautiful artwork. The staff was really friendly and helpful.

Great museum. Lots of room to move around in. Wish they numbered the rooms better. We weren't aware and visited the biography rooms first instead of the artwork. Put in a €1 coin into a locker as deposit to keep your large backpacks and umbrellas.
