The owners were very friendly and obviously love sourcing quality and interesting ingredients which shows in the great food. Squeezed us in with no reservation and we had a great time. Recommend the chocolate experience! Thanks

A unique gastronomic and social experience right in the centre of Madrid. Food was great and quite different from what you might expect in a French restaurant. But perhaps what was even better was the great atmosphere and the commitment of the staff to make your meal a great experience!

Excellent experience! The products are fine and carefully selected. This is close to an experience rather than a standard dinner. I would go back!

We have visited this “French” restaurant like maybe month ago but have been postponing writing the review due some vacational travel. However being back in Madrid and also with my 2 years wonderful living experience in France including my tremendous respect for their food culture I thought it is my responsibility as good citizen to write the review. We have been invited by our lovely friends to dine with them and from the moment I have entered to the place I felt that ambience of “let’s sell French cuisine to foreigners as strange and eccentric as possible”. I mean I have been to numerous this type of “French” restaurants while living in Canada, US, Mexico and now here in Spain, where basically they try to apply that concept of “high priced modernism meets tasteless food at the cost of experience”. I will list just few negative points I have observed here: - all portion of the food so small and it doesn’t include side potato or salad...I mean Magret de Canard was just few slices and nothing with it - waiters and owner comes and explains you every action they put into preparing the food like “ we cut the duck breast then we add salt then we cook bla bla...” which we found so funny and unnecessary marketing storytelling to supposedly amuse customers - when I asked we would like to have “agua de grifa” waiter out loud told that they only serve bottled water...again every single French restaurant serve “carafe d'eau” and actually I think there is even law in France saying that each restaurant should provide water for free - their dessert experience, which since I promised will not reveal will hold to it and won’t reveal details but all I can see it was tacky, cheap and not pleasant, especially they charge for it - one of us ordered “hamburger of confit de canard” and we were surprised they would serve in between 2 slices of not fresh sourdough breads and when my friend asked that they have served before in normal bun waiter without blinking said “they trying out new concept” instead accepting the fact they ran out of normal buns - roasted Camembert we ordered as appetizer was so dry and tasteless - serving everything in some metallic plate and trying to be modern, I just find it so tacky Overall only food I liked was the salad with some arugula and beer...and that the reason I didn’t put 1 star but 2. I think this is typical trap for tourist and people who admire French cousins and they end up with something very dissaponting. I don’t recommend this place at all and obviously will not return either.
