Calle Real de la Alhambra, s/n, 18009 Granada, Spain
Amazing, amazing, amazing! This is a must see place Spain where people all around the world come to see this beautiful Islamic architecture. The gardens depict a piece of heaven, so peaceful and joyful to look at. You the scent of Jasmin flowers around you s walk through the gardens. You will need to book the tickets way in advance (6 months) and try and get their early for a parking spot. Ensure you take a map from the ticket area and make sure you’re not waiting in the wrong queue where you already have a ticket. Take snacks and drinks as the walk can be long.
Beautiful palace .. book via the official website. Plus onsite parking not expensive. We took a picnic and used one of the lockers up near king Carlos Palace once you get in. Though you can buy food and drink including a beer. Make sure you go in to the palace at the right time. As the Alhambra is within the grounds. Stunning views. Plus amazing architecture and gardens.
Old fortress with lots of history, beautiful gardens and scenic views of the surrounding areas. Our local guide narrated a 'Readers Digest' version of the different segments of the fortress in 2 hours. Navigating the area is a strenuous walk due to the numerous steps and slopping walkways upwards or downwards depending on the direction of travel. Your ticket and passport must be presented to enter each segment of the fortress.
What a sight to behold! A really amazing place filled with great detail at every corner. There’s so much history to the Alhambra that makes it a must visit for anyone travelling to the south of Spain. We booked a day trip tour from Seville and had a 3 hour tour of the grounds but could have easily spent another 1-2 hours at least, to soak in the grounds and all the beauty of the palace and gardens. A very photogenic place!
This place is unbelievable- the architecture, the gardens, it is all so grand. One thing to remember though is to ensure you book online in advance as tickets often sell out a month before. Also ensure you bring the credit card you booked with to the box office in order to collect your tickets. I would allow around 4 hours to comfortably visit the entire complex.
