I was contemplating between the castle and /or going here So as I was here first I went in , not really knowing anything about this fascinating place. Founded in 1234 Entrance is only 4€ and you get a free audio guide (great addition) I took around two hours and listened to the audio twice .. As you walk around the vast history is there before your eyes, the drawings and writings on the wall under layer and layer of add ons,is quite spectacular to see Faded of course but very interesting ... As you make your way into the main stage (for want of a better word) you walk up the steps between the seats to the very back ,were on the walls you can see symbols and old drawing remains ... Take the stairs down you enter the tombs of some of the original occupants , this is a little eerie as for one it is dark and two it is definitely atmospheric.... The lady on the counter was friendly and helpful I only saw a handful of other people so this was good as I could just really take my time and lose myself here .... Overall a very good and worthwhile visiting experience
