Trg republike 1а, Beograd 104303, Serbia
Really good exhibition space with many famous paintings from the famous artists. There are even paintings from Pit Mondrian and Pablo Picasso. I highly recommend you to visit this museum. Entry ticket is only 300 dinars. You can check museum's official site for more information, but as far as I know you can even enter for free on Sundays. I still recommend you to support the museum and pay the entrance, it is really worth it.
I don't know why on 7.10.2019 tickets were for free. Museum is nice, they have decent pieces of art. The special thing is that on Sundays there are concert approx. at 12 o'clock, which makes the visit magnificent because you can hear the beautiful singing almost everywhere in the museum
The National Museum of Serbia is the largest and oldest museum in Belgrade, and It is located in the central zone of Belgrade with its main facade on the Republic Square. The museum's collection has over 400,000 objects, including many foreign masterpieces, distributed between 34 archaeological, numismatic, artistic and historical collections. It is a must see monument in Belgrade, with time and comfy shoes...
This museum is renovated after many years and building itself is looking beautiful and even that is worth visiting, but of course exhibit is also nicely organized and really interesting to see. So many interesting tools, instruments, weapons, etc... All in all, really recommend visiting this museum.
The national museum was disappointing. The first floor follows the history of human evolution. The second and third floor are occupied with paintings (old and new ones). I would have expected to learn a bit more about Serbia and their history. Also it is a pretty boring setup with only items, pictures and text. It is not interactive in any kind of way and therefore boring.
