Places to visit and things to see

Sarajevo is full of interesting architecture where most of the older buildings were built by Ottomans and the Austro-Hungarian empire. So Sarajevo's architecture was influenced by both west and the east.

But in short it is the old city center whose design is mainly influenced by the Ottoman empire but the most interesting thing and one that you just have to experience for yourself is that it has preserved it's centuries old spirit.

Ibro:The largest and most representative building of the Austro-Hungarian period in Sarajevo. Almost completely destroyed in 1992 it was rebuilt gradually from 1997 until it was finished in 2014.

Ibro:Built in the 16th century, it is the largest historical mosque in Bosnia. Also one of the most representative Ottoman empire structures in the Balkans. Located almost in the center of Bascarsija it would be a shame to just walk past it.

Ibro:During the Ottoman period the inside of the Bezistan was used to trade textiles but today you can find a bit of everything. Built around the year of 1540. it is yet another time capsule in Sarajevo and it is very much like the grand bazaar in Istanbul, only much much smaller.

Most peoples favorite part, the food part

You will probably be eating a lot in Sarajevo as i always do, the smells especially on Bascarsija will always keep you hungry. Luckily you won't have to look much to find something good to eat.
