Bol'shaya Sadovaya Ulitsa, 10, 50, Moskva, Russia, 123001
A great place to visit and a wonderful chance to learn a lot about the genius writer.
Walk many flight up stairs full of graffiti to pay 200 rubles to a woman who keeps asking people to shut the door. This is the communal apartment the writer lived in, but there is very little of his belongings. All but one exhibit has no English translation - so it’s very hard to tell what’s going on. Google translate is useless her. One room has an interactive exhibit where you have to stoop awkwardly to get into it - and I am short.
Every 3rd Sunday of the month is free of charge. The museum is very good, don't hesitate to visit it.
It seems like they made this museum just to make money. When I came there, it was too crowded and there were nothing concerned to M. Bulgakhov, just books and souvenirs and a cafe! Right in the "museum".
It is worth visiting once, to see where Bulgakov used to live and write. The night excursions were great and very informative.
