Parking can be a challenge. We got lucky and got a good spot right across the bridge. No fee for parking. Lots of local vendors selling souvenirs, fresh produce, and baked goods. The statue itself is very impressive and you can get good photos from the bridge. There is a small pedestrian walk way on both sides. Lots of options for boat tours to get a closer view of the statue. Highly recommend.!!!

Very beautiful sculpture in a great location, where the Danube river is cutting through two big mountain ranges of Europe in the narrowest gorge for its huge flow. Easy to be accessed by car, while the journey presents a magnificent scenery on the bank of the Danube, though isn't a very short one. is especially inspiring for children, students but not limited to them, and it's a great opportunity for them to visit the area and see it there, ask the questions about it and why is in this location. Both an interesting and inspiring lesson of history and geography; also of geology & hydrology.

A magic place to be and visit. It took 10 years, from 1992 to 2001, and twelve sculptors to finish it. From the boot on the river it's a better view.

Huge statue of the head of Decebalus located in the gulf of Mraconia. It's a very nice sight, a visit you have to make if you're in the area.

This place is magic. On the border of Romania you can see the statue of grand leader Decebal. Locals are very nice, trust me!
