Bucegi Mountains, Romania
Absolutely breathtaking views! The climb is about 3 hours long while the descent is about 2,5 hours.
Amazing scenery and wild trails. Don't look for too much comfort, but if you are a mountain lover Bucegi and the Carpathian mountains are a wonderful place to discover. Old villages and monasteries and springs and caves and herds of animals (some bears too 😄)... A paradise to get closer to your inner self
Loved this region! So gorgeous! Great photo opps!
The Bucegi Mountains are located in central Romania. They are part of the Carpathian Mountains. At 2,505 m (8,219 ft), Omu is its highest point. The Bucegi Mountains have a very steep slope towards the popular tourist destination Prahova Valley. At a higher elevation is the Bucegi Plateau, where wind and rain have turned the rocks into spectacular figures such as the Sphinx and Babele. Since 1935, a part of Bucegi Mountains has been included in the list of protected areas in Romania, with national park status.
Very nice!
