What to expect?
- The trail begins by meandering down a dry stream, along which guests will find vegetation like yellow ginger lilies, blackberry, pittosporum ondulee, & erica azorica. The name of the hiking trail is Baías de Agualva, because you will see carved cliffs forming beautiful bays in different shapes along the coast of the island. At a certain point on the hike (and depending on the visibility), you can spot Graciosa, which is another island in the central group. On the same hike, you can also walk over a lava field.
