A spectacular hike, plan for 4 hrs+ and plan it for a good weather day. Bring lunch and water, it can be taxing. Wear hiking shoes or trainers - no flip flops or open toed sandals, you will regret it. Spectacular views that just keep coming. A must-do when visiting Madeira.
Spectacular trip right next to the ocear, well worth your time. Rocky scenery with a lot of wind. Watch out, there's no toilets on the entire hike, except on the last bit by the house, for which you have to pay 1 EUR.
Well worth a visit. The landscape is barren but spectacular thanks to the coastline and sea. Great views. However you need to be comfortable with exposed pathways and big drops as you walk further down the peninsula. Fine for confident hikers who aren't afraid of big drops and exposed paths Otherwise just walk the first portion and leave the rest of the walk to the more adventurous
Rocky paths with beautiful views. It's in an open terrain so the sun is very strong here - because of that and also since there is a huge traffic, I recommended coming early in the morning or later in the afternoon (but count that you need cca 2,5 hours to walk there and back). Also the parking will be easier than. It's good to have a hat and there is also a rocky beach with beautifully clean water on the way so you can wear swimsuit as well (but flip flops would not be a good idea :)).
Absolutely one of the walks labelled MUST to be done visiting Madeira. Breathtaking views...
