Breathtaking! Never seen such vibrant colours on a building before. You can walk everywhere around the palace (and on) without a palace ticket. The view is stunning! There are some hidden towers and stuff so it also got the feeling of some sort of maze. Only downside is the cafe since the coffee was not that great.
Beautiful! Totally worth the wait to get inside. It's beautiful from the outside and the inside, and also the park surrounding the palace. If you want to explore everything you need half day. Recommended to buy the tickets online to avoid the queue to buy them.
Such a beautiful and amazing place with great architecture. This was an abandoned monastery in the early 1800. King Ferdinand II restored it with the help of architecture Baron Von Eschwege. What an amazing colorful, romantic transformation. We spent nearly all day there because it was so lovely just walking, sitting around in this place. Amazing view from the top as well. Depending on which day it is, it can be really touristy most of the time.
Where do I begin with such beautiful creation. 1. Arrive early in the morning. 2. Park in the garden at the bottom and walk up, you really get to embrace what this wonder truly represents. 3. Take pictures, take your time. Wear comfortable shoes. 4. The walk takes about 3 hours if you really want to explore the location.
A great Park & Palace to visit. The tile works and colors inside and outside are amazing. The views are fantastic. You can see a part of Lisbon, Tagus River and the Moor Castle on a clear day. The day we visited the place, it was foggy but it cleared as the sun was rising. I would also suggest that you visit the place early on in the day. The lines can be very long just to get in.
