Located just behind the castle, the location is perfect. The meals are delicious, and even if you are not a vegetarian, you will still struggle to pick between dishes, since it all looks good. The prices are a little higher for other places around, but the quality matches it. The service was great and you do not need to speak portuguese. However, cash is the only option for payment.

If you want to eat vegetarian art try this restaurant. The deserts are the best. The service is slow, so dont go if you are in a hurry.

We stumbled across this place while visiting the castle and had a wonderful lunch. The daily special was delicious, and so was the wine and the dessert (chocolate mousse). We sat in the garden with a calm and relaxing atmosphere admiring the view. Staff was very welcoming and helpful. Pricepoint is slightly higher, but the quality of food absolutely matches. Would definetly recommend. Only tip for non-Portugese: bring cash.

Wonderful place with delicious food, tofu is a must. Staff is extremely nice and there is a open space for lunch.
