My wife and I arrived late, at closing time, without a reservation. They accommodated us anyway. We had chicken stroganoff and a short rib like dish. Both were excellent and came in large portions. The atmosphere was charming. The service outstanding! Price was reasonable. Best restaurant we have encountered in Portugal. We hope to return. Added: We did return 2 days later and I can report that the food and service were once again exceptional!

One of the best restaurants in Portugal, IMHO. Very simple cuisine at first glance, but every meal is exactly like it should be. A triumph of good taste.
