Praça do Comércio, Lisboa, Portugal
Awesome place to to see sunset. Beautiful views. Sit on the side watch the see and let the evening pass by. Watch the coast, the birds. This place does get crowded but worth the view. Try to catch one sunset. You don't regret it. Grab a coffee and enjoy a nice evening.
This is a pair of columns that looked so out of place I had to find out what they were. Apparently this is a pier that used to be the royal entrance for disembarking into Praca do Comercio and the royal palace that used to exist there. Now it's a landmark and a pretty spot for selfies. Nice to visit if you're heading to the square anyway especially as it's a bit of a landmark. Otherwise don't go out of the way to see it as it literally is a pair of columns to mark the pier more than anything else.
Nice atmosphere, chillout zone, with the band playing just behind you (if you are lucky) ...
On the edge of the vast plain of the Praça do Comercio is the small Cais das Colunas, a beautiful viewpoint on the banks of the Tagus, where we listened to the performance of a nice band on a sunny Saturday. A good place to rest during your city walk.
Great place for a stroll with local artists doing some sand and stone art.
