Praça da Liberdade 54, 4000-069 Porto, Portugal
In the past I had liked this place for the lemon pie, which they no longer have, but the service yesterday was horrible. We were about 6 people and in a momentary outburst of laughter we heard a very loud 'SHHHHHHH' from a waiter on the lower floor! They could have come and told us to be quiet but instead treated us like kids in a library. I was so disappointed as I had never had this experience there before. Arcadia, you're a portuguese brand, you deserve better trained staff.
The only reason I’m giving this place 4* is because the waiter was really friendly and nice to me. However, the food was really, but really disappointing. I asked for a salad which seemed it had been prepared a few days before hand. My wife asked for a salmon baguette and the baguette and the salmon weren’t fresh. Not looking forward to come back any time soon.
Not very polite waiter. Otherwise the location is excellent
Inside, a traditional and well-preserved “confitaria”, ideal to relax while having a coffee or some hot chocolate with cakes. Latte and coffee could be better (burnt coffee and milk)
One of the must visit place in Porto if you like to go for the breakfast or coffee.
