What a great fish restaurant! We wanted to order every dish in the menu. We were 5 friends together and everything was perfect. Try sea urchin and octopus, they are very good. All the fishes are fresh and you can feel it. The staff is generally very friendly. We also tried 3 deserts. I just think they should have an english dessert menu for the tourists. Everything was very good. Highly recommended if you go to Lima.

Had one of the worst meals in Peru here. I think the hype has made this restaurant sloppy. Overall, the wait staff were too busy to be attentive. They even brought us the wrong dish and then would not admit it. They did take it off our bill after the third time that we pointed out it was the wrong dish. Really bad customer service! And then they over charged us for drinks. When we pointed this out they grudgingly admitted we were right and took the added drinks off of our bill. Sloppy service and just ok food added up to an underwhelming experience. Plus, it wasn’t cheap. Steer clear and go someplace that cares more about the customer experience.

Arrived right before they opened and had no trouble getting a table. They spoke English which was helpful and the menu had English as well. But I came for the food and very glad I visited La Mar before going home! Seafood was absolutely fresh with many options of fish and shellfish. Everything I ordered was delicious and wish I had room for more. A must go when in Lima.

Bubbling cheeky atmosphere that was easily and almost instantly fell in love. Friendly service with great fresh seafood, we had best Ceviche and grill huge octopus leg. Scallops were huge and yum which preferred very much by my partner. Fish soup was amazing fresh and min addictive but potato to enhance it's refreshing light purity. Excellent example to highlight Lima's best seafood and traditional culture food, surprised to see sushi bar as well! A must visit to Peru experience at one of its best!
