It is really nice historic hotel. Though I a little bit annoyed with all those old pictures, but still I enjoyed this hotel. Located just minutes away walking to the center of the city. The best part of this hotel is their yard which is beautiful. Rooms are quite big and they served delicious breakfast. I would recommend this hotel to other people
The superior double room actually looks like a US 3-star hotel - with old paintings and a nice bathroom. These rooms look tired and need a renovation. The property over all is nice, but at checkout, the staff tried to charge $80 more than I owed - an issue sorted out after I called my agent, but only after the check out made it seem as though there was no way I could possibly be right. If you’re going to stay here, pay for a nicer room or stay at the Hilton garden inn (which is actually very nice!) or JW Marriott.
I want to express how much we enjoyed our stay at the Belmond. My daughters and I were on a trip "of a lifetime" celebrating their birthday and our Belmond stay was well beyond expectations. The staff was wonderful to work with! All were very attentive and courteous and very efficient in responding to our needs as well as insightful knowledge to anticipate our needs before we did! Thus, the staff was very proactive in assuring our stay was the absolute best. And it was!!! A special thanks to Carlos, Daniel, Miguel, Jimy and all the waitstaff, whose names I do not have, provided excellent service. A true 5 star experience!!!!! Thank you!!
Absolutely stunning. We entered through the church and got a welcome drink from a monk. Our supper was on Opera singer night. They have there dessert kitchen at the end of the dining area. Made to order in front of you if would like to go up and watch.
This is the most fabulous hotel I have ever stayed in. The attention to original keeping of the monastery is superb. The locality is central and easy walking everywhere. The meals are top class. Our room was private and modern.
