Fatima Jinnah Rd, Karachi Cantonment, Karachi, Karachi City, Sindh, Pakistan
Please do visit the residence of our great Quaid. It feels like you've entered that era. The inside of the residence is so beautiful to look at. Greatly preserved by the team. We were not allowed to take pictures from the inside or would have posted those too.
Very well preserved house carrying Quaid's original vintage furniture and personal items. Although situated on main busy road but once you inside, it's calm and serene. Guide I found described things well. Must take your children their, it's worth it.
An outstanding place to visit. Reasonably maintained. One is in awe while visiting Quaid's residence after Pakistans independence. Build in 1800s as the residence of British army commander and called Flag Staff House was bought by Quaid in 1940 for around one and a quarter lac rupees with area in excess of 20,000 square yards. A must see place in Karachi
There is no entry ticket fee, you can enter for free, all you need to do is hand in your NIC prior to entry, and can take it back after finishing the tour. There is a guide available for those wanting to know more, although the guide wasn't of much help, in my opinion, I much rather preferred reading the signs which gave more information about each room. But, the guide was in quite a hurry, he continually asked us to move along, not giving us the chance to read the signs of the rooms properly. The rooms inside the main house were well maintained and clean, the garden outside could've used a little more work. The cars used by Quaid-e-Azam were looking almost new, despite considering how old they were.
Lovely place to visit well preserved. No entry fee. Highly recommended. Follow timing strictly. 1-2 pm lunch break
