Fantastic piece of living history. Gives you a great snapshot of what life was like in Norway many years ago. Well laid out with great public facilities. Suitable for all ages but could be a little difficult for people with mobility difficulties as ground can be uneven and access to most exhibits is over a large step. Well worth a visit.

Nice place with good guide to help u by explaining each and every house situated in the place. You got to see the house of a wood carver. But there is nothing that fascinating inside the museum.

very good museum with lots to offer about moldes history and they have a temporary exibhit every now and then!! totally recommend very beautiful

Absolutely loved it. The entry ticket is quite expensive though. They have an inside and outside museum, be sure to cover both. Inside musuem has preserved items of daily use and really provides an insight into how life used to be in this region. The outside museum has houses transported from all over the area preserved in excellent condition. They have guides in traditional costumes to provide a dose of history. Dont miss out on a chance to use the stilts and watch the traditional dance performed by children.
