Definitely must go if you are in Oslo. Great selection of international temporary art! The museum is in a very nice spot of the city. And the staff there is great as well! Highly recommend!

Architecture of this museum is very attractive, situated besides the sea.The museum built in earlier 90's. There are wheelchair accessible entrance in this building. The ticket price is a little bit high but it will worthy visit. The place is kid friendly, you can take your kids there. The outside area is very beautiful, you can seat outside and see the beautiful view from there.

The entrance fee for this museum is pretty high, but it is one of my favorite experiences in Oslo. The architecture of this museum is really cool, and it is located right on the water and sprawl between two different buildings, with a beautiful bridge in between both. The exhibitions are more modern Art and they are very cool exhibits here. It is a good mix between sculptures and paintings. The entrance fee is high, but it is really worth it in my experience. The bar and cafe here also has a beautiful view of the water and you can relax here in Between exploring the two buildings. They recommend you take an hour and a half at least explore the museums, but I think you need at least 2 to 3 hours. There’s also an outdoor sculpture area which is very pretty to walk around the weather is nice. The museum is located right near all these cool restaurants along the water. Definitely worth a visit.

Awesome museum with great art and cool architecture. Two separate buildings, be sure to check out both of them! Lots of fun stuff for kids to do as well. Nice cafe with outdoor terrace and situated right next to a pebble beach 🏖 Highly recommend this museum 👍

If you are into modern or contemporary art, this is a place for you. If you are not into it, you will find most of the exhibits puzzling and hard to comprehend. I am not a fan of modern art, so I had to keep an open mind here. Museum is well laid out and each piece of art has an accompanying explanation to describe what is it you are looking it. Best done after a few drinks in my opinion.
