I didn't stay here, but visited this place for it's chocolate fame and swim possibility. It's relatively new community, with some elements / installation in work. Location is great, right by the water with view of Concepcion volcano. Some fun elements like swing and quotes on/around site.Open Yoga studio in circle structure was different for me with interesting experience. Fortunate to get 1 on 1 session with Kirsten, which was great.Best part is their Cafe for hangout with music playing. I tried one of their dessert which was nice. Volunteers were great and helpful. Had great conversation with Alessandra. Overall definite visit for an experience on Ometepe.

Let me start by saying that the first time we came, the chocolate desert was amazing! it was huge, it had a lot of fruits and it had intense chocolate flavor. Therefore, we went there a second time a couple of days after and went all in, but unfortunately it was not nearly as good. The desert was half the size of first time, it wasn’t nearly as good looking or tasty, i ordered the coffee which, to me, was undrinkable, and I got the ceremonial cacao, which was just lovely. In the end, I would recommend it, but know that it varies a lot. So don’t put blind trust in neither bad nor good reviews.

The entrance to the location does not have any signs recommending to leave your vehicle at the top of the entrance. we attempted to go down and our vehicle go stuck. thankfully we met two locals that helped us get our vehicle out. We parked our vehicle, walked down to the reception area. we were approached by two women and we didn’t know if they were guests or employees. We inquired about the chocolate tour, they directed us to their menu and made recommendations as to what to order. We again asked about the tour and one of the girls asked another guy either named Justin or Jeremy if he was up to giving us a tour and he just had a death stare and didn’t say anything. he clearly wasn’t interested in giving us a tour. The same girl took us into another room and told us that was the room were the chocolate was processed and asked us if we wanted to sample their chocolate. she took out sample from the fridge and used her bare hands to place samples out for us. the chocolate bars are $5usd, it’s good chocolate but we were very disappointed with the lack of interest in giving us the tour, the place looked really run down and it didn’t represent Ometepe at all.

Stay away!!! Dirty beds. Debris from cealing falling on them.. parties at night time noise travels into dorms because no windows. Not really vegan, they serve honey ( it's not vegan!!!! ) In some of the foods.. pretentious spiritually materialism crowd very few legitimate hippies... Booked 1 week, left after first morning. The thing that really bugged me was The dinner was good but it was specifically portioned. And a certain table of " favored guests " ( half naked chicks ). Kept getting additional servings from the kitchen... Pretty poorly operated and would only recommend it to somebody you dislike.

Wonderful, peaceful place!!! I would definitely recommend going there if you want to explore the nature and Relax in the Jungle. Also delicious vegan food and of course great homemade chocolate.
