Masaya, Nicaragua
This is a really nice and famous artisan Craft market. They have every kind of artisan craft you could imagine and then some. One of the things they have that is very nice is a lot of hammocks. These are really well done. They could quite easily be sold in the United States or elsewhere for real profit. That would help both the artisans here and whoever is taking them to another country. They are very reasonably priced. By all means, when you're here, check this place out. It's famous, and worth spending some time. You will surely come away with things that will help you remember your trip.
The place look good but no parking
Only about a third of the stalls are open so selection is way off. Government controlled, fenced all the way around. Lost its charm completely.
Beautiful old market with great and fun crafts. Try the cocktail shop!
A great place to view and purchase Nicaraguan art and handicrafts. Many vendors have similar items so don't be afraid to shop around a bit before deciding on a purchase.
