Great place to learn to ski with a magic carpet and small beginners hill. Easy to get to from Christchurch. Usually not too crowded. Family favourite.

I had great skiing experience in Porters! Easy drive from Christchurch, well grommed trails and friendly stuffs. Be mindful if you are a snowboarder cause the upper mountain T-Bars can be a little bit tricky.

Such a nice place and offer a good price. The mountain is easy to track. Very wide field for skiing and snowboarding

Best ski field we've seen so far. Not as crowded as most ski fields, actually good cafe and an amazing view all the way through the tracks + absolutely breathtaking view from the top of it

This ski area provides fields and lessons for all levels. The instructor I had was very patient. Most importantly, it is not that far from Christchurch.
