Fabulous botanical gardens with so much to see & experience within their grounds. The butterfly house was utterly delightful, with butterflies flying all around you. The pond containing a lotus flower with enormous lily pads is an amazing sight to behold. The three climate greenhouse was also a sensory delight. For the perfect finish to your visit you will find a delicious cake & a coffee in their well-stocked cafe. Enjoy!
Such a beautiful garden. It has a lovely tropical greenhouse area, desert greenhouse, and a butterfly greenhouse. The whole garden is in the small side but still very much worth the visit. Also a great place to have something to drink and a bite to eat. Only reason I give 4 instead of 5 stars is the very long wait to go inside. I had the feeling tickets and entry could have been much more efficient (people who bought tickets in advance still had to wait 20 min + in line with everyone else).
I loved it! One of my favourite parts of Amsterdam. The plants are so gorgeous and interesting. Their self guided tours are informative and worth it- I especially liked the evolution tour. Spent a few hours here. It is hot in some of the greenhouses so just bring water! I also enjoyed the greenhouse where you could smell some of the special plants. You must go
This was the best place that I visited in Amsterdam. The gardens are amazing and realistic. They show what it is like to live in different countries with the humidity and also the plants. There is a butterfly house which is very pretty, as well as a restaurant. Very nice surroundings and plenty of benches for people to sit down. Would recommend going here as it was the stand out place that I visited in Amsterdam.
Happily spent a couple of hours wandering in and around these Gardens. It's a relatively small area but designed to maximize their amazing botanical diversity. Loved the butterfly house. Worth a visit and for 9.5 Euro good value
