Stop At: Shivapuri Nagarjun National Park, Kathmandu, Kathmandu Valley, Bagmati Zone, Central Region
Begin your tour after meeting your guide in the lobby of your Kathmandu hotel
at 7:30am. Move out by private car or local bus and make the 20-minute journey
to the Budhanikantha Temple. Before heading out on your trek, break for tea
and take time to fill up your water bottles. Drive another 5-10 minutes to the
entrance of Shivapuri National Park. There, you will pay the conservation fees
and finally start the hike. Observe the flora and fauna as you leisurely walk
through the preserved park.
By 11:30am, you are projected to reach the top of Shivapuri and attain
expansive panoramic views of the mountains to the north. Break for lunch and
enjoy your packed meal for approximately an hour. Once you have finished your
meal, begin your descent back to the base of the park via Tokha Park. Board
the awaiting vehicle when you get to the bottom to begin your journey back to
the hotel. Arrive at your accommodations at approximately 2:00pm.
