Stop At: Bhaktapur Municipality Office
Rice is one of the most important elements in Nepalese daily life. Every year
during the month of Ashad (mid-June to mid-July), farmers all over Nepal
celebrate the planting of rice, also known as ropain.
Within Kathmandu valley and on the city outskirts, the entire Newar community
participates in this tradition. These days, rice plantation has become one of
the most attractive and popular seasonal activities among visitors. Every
year, a large number of enthusiasts comes to Nepal to participate and we helps
them to fulfill their desire.
So, come join us to play with mud, water and mingle with local farmers and
leave Nepal with a truly unique experience!
Itinerary:
9:30am: Your expert tour guide will meet you at your hotel.
9:45am: You will be briefed about the tour before transferring to the field in
Bhaktapur.
10:15am: You will arrive at the plantation. You can change your clothes and
get ready for paddy plantation
10:30am: Ropain and the fun begins!
12pm: You can shower and change clothes.
12:30pm: Enjoy a typical Newari lunch with mixture of yogurt, rice beer and
beaten rice.
1:30pm: Return back to your hotel.
