After pickup at your Kathmandu hotel in an air-conditioned vehicle, head with
your private guide to the Old Asan and Indra Chowk Bazaars, two bazaars in the
historic section of Kathmandu. These markets make up one of the busiest
marketplaces in the Kathmandu Valley.
With your guide, explore the area of Kathmandu Durbar Square, home to the
living goddess "Kumari", and admire the UNESCO World Heritage Site listed
area. Learn about the historical and architectural significance of Durbar
Square, including the Hanumandhoka Royal Palace Complex which was the royal
Nepalese residence until the 19th century, and the Kumari Chowk where the
living goddess "Raj Kumari" is kept.
After that, dine on a traditional spread of local Nepali cuisine in New Road,
Kathmandu's largest market where you will find locals and visitors both
enjoying some recreational shopping.
After your meal, follow your guide on a walk along the narrow alleyways of
Asan to see how modern life mixes with the ancient architecture of the area.
Hear about Old Asan and Indra Chowk's history from your guide as you pass by

Finish your tour by walking the length of Indra Chowk, an area lined with
