Langtang 45000, Nepal
Tsergo Ri (5000 m), an amazing viewpoint close by Kyanjing Gompa and it offers 360 degree mountain view. Tsergo Ri route is completely steady climbing up on rugged and pebble trail. Should travel with plenty of drinking water and foods because of does not have any stall in the day tour.
Trekking along the Langtang valley is very scenic and enjoyable. Climbing Tserko Ri 4990m is another highlight of the trekking. It is around 4 hours walk from Kyanjin Gumpa to get to the top and few hours to back to Kyanjin Gumpa. The views of the mountains and valley is just amazing from the top. I highly recommend to climb this peak while you are trekking in Langtang national park.
Langtang national park is north of Kathmandu .and not to for from Kathmandu ..and in there you will see Red pand..and imagine views..
Great day hike out of Kyanjin (7 to 8 hours hikel, defiantly worth the extra day.
We visited the Langtang valley in May 2018 towards the end of the trekking season. The clouds were beginning to draw in. We stayed for a few days in Kyanjin with Jhandu Lama and Penzum Tamang at Lovely Guest House (highly recommended) waiting for a break in the weather to climb Tsergo Ri. On our last full day we did the route but the clouds closed in during the morning and we had no view from the top. We had a great taste of the views on the climb up though - 1124m of ascent! The next day, we needed to descend the valley and the weather was perfect! We will return earlier in the season for a better chance at this legendary view.
