Well managed. The shoe locker, valuable asset locker were the new added feature which allowed us to keep our things safe (things that are not allowed inside a Hindu temple). The place was clean, peaceful and had a different religious vibe. Peaceful, and well managed. The aarati at the evening is something not to be missed. And don't play with the monkeys. Let them be on their own.

One of the important sacred temples for Hindus. The ancient Shiva temple has a magnetic charm. The temple is located in a sprawling complex. One of the interesting facts is that the priests who are in charge of all the rituals and worship in the temple are from Karnataka. This is a must visit place in Kathmandu. Non-Hindus are not allowed inside the inner courtyard of the temple premises.

It is called as national deity, Temple of Hindu religion which is equally respected by Buddhist and religion of Indian sub-continental region. The temple has wide area and can be accessed from four different gates located in four different directions. The main Priest is historically selected from Indian Bhatta Brahman. There is no historical evidence about the exact date of establishment of the shrine. It has the highest possibility of tourism in Nepal.

Very good place for tours and get peace while going been there. Just be aware from monkeys. They'll snatch for things and you can't caught them..

Must visit this place, not once at least 3 times, then only you can understand why this is so spiritual place. You can see here life and death. Cremation in the bank of Bagmati river would be eyes opening especially if you are coming from western world. Sadhus, gurus, astrologer and monkeys are there.
