Attention: Never tease any animals and keep the place clean when you visit any preserved area. Central Zoo is one of the oldest zoo of Nepal. It is famous for different animals, birds and reptiles along with Spiny Babbler (bird found only in middle hills of Nepal). It is one of the popular tourist destination and you can get yourself lost on this beautiful place of attraction.

This is one of the old and preserved zoo of Nepal. Various species of birds and animals can be seen here. The known endangered species can be found here as protected species. We are instructed to keep the place clean and not allowed to take food in. We also can't provide food to animal and most not tease the animals. Famous for short trip as it is nice. But the problem is about the bat smell and hope it will be fine soon.

Unless you are being insisted by kids, it is not a good place to go given the poor condition of hygiene and care given to animals kept there. I felt sorry for all the animals that were imprisoned there. The space was too small for most of the animals. Hope the authority will move this zoo soon to a better palace where the animals can have better life and visitors can also watch them in better condition.

It's well maintained then before and a bit organized. A place to explore animals and birds. Good place to take your children and teach them about animals.

Best place to visit for couple of hours to learn about animals and many types of birds. Tiger and hippopotamus are amazing also we can touch elephant and capture photo with elephant. Not much big zoo but I love it.
