Meknes, Morocco
Not bad as ruins go at the most south western point of the Roman empire. Can get a very keen sense of the layout if the the town due to a highpoint that is almost in the middle. Suffice to say, get there really early as it gets hot hot hot!
Amazing place to look back at the history and the greatness of the Roman Empire and the advancements they reached at that time. Architecture, design, technology and how they moved such big pieces of rocks from 10s of miles ago. Better to explore the place with a local guide who would add a flavor to the tour.
Good place to visit and with lots of interesting history to absorb. You need a good guide to get the best out of your visit.
Really nice place with loads of history. Recommended to get a guide so that you can learn more about the history of the place. But be warned, guides are hard to come by so you'll probably end up like us just wondering around the place and getting a short mini history lesson from our own tour guide during the drive back to our accomodation
It is far beyond words to describe this historical site as every inch in this place tells you a story through these ruins that go back into the Roman times. You have to see it to believe it. A world Moroccan cultural heritage unique in its « genre »
