Hassan and his staff are friendly and available, the view on Er Chebbi dunes super, place and food are traditional berber, from the terrace you can see amazing sunset and sunrise, enjoy the stars and milk way, they also organize your camel tour. Swimming pool is oasis, fresh water in hot sun. Everything you need for real taste of desert life.

We didn't want to leave! Great breakfast (picture) and very good quality and size of meals. Staff, in our experience, they were very friendly and accommodating as long as you remember we are not in an accidental city. You come here to take it slow and easy :) They are able to arrange activities, tours and transport. Regarding the overnight dunes camp: Morocco has recently banned camps inside the Erg Chebbi dunes so all hotels had to move their camps to near the hotel itself. The swimming pool was unavailable but the surroundings were great and not directly in the main area (which is best since its private and respecting of the Muslim norm)

What an amazing experience. We were driven from Fes all the way down to Rissani where we swapped out our passenger van for 4x4s. Then stayed the night at the desert hotel. Then the next day after breakfast we jumped on some camels and headed into the dunes of the Sahara. We stayed the night at a desert camp run by Berbers. It was amazing watching the sunset, moon rise and sunrise in the shadows of the great dunes. I recommend staying 2 nights as a 1 night stay, while it may seem cheaper, will not give you the same experience. Be prepared for a 10 hour drive if you're coming from Fes via private car or more if going by bus. Definitely more if you're coming from Marrakech.
