The main focal point in this traditional Mexican town is the recently renovated plaza, directly across from the church “The old Mission”, well-lit and surrounded by little coffees, restaurant and shops, the Plaza represents a safe and enjoyable place for strolling.
San Jose is the typical Mexican town, with lots of history and culture to be discover, pedestrian areas, colonial architecture, old historic houses and buildings are now hosting charming coffees, romantic courtyard restaurants, shops with an impressive fine art, handicrafts, sculptures, ceramics, papier mache, woodworking, blown glass, silver, leather and there is more…. an amazing Art District home to a number of exciting galleries, showcasing the art works of Mexican and International artists that called San Jose their home.
