Plaza Borda 1, Centro, 40200 Taxco, Gro., Mexico
Lovely church in a charming little town. This is "silver city" so make sure to buy some fine silver. There's lots and lots of it! Though try to avoid religious holidays at it will be very crowded.
Very beautiful! Like something out of a movie. very safe and clean. Great food options
Absolutely stunning facade on this church, rivaling many older structures we have seen in Europe. Beautiful during the day and breathtaking at night with the floodlights. Restaurants with great vantage points line the adjacent plaza to give you an uninterrupted view while enjoying a mezcal or two.
l absolutely loved 💓 this town, from having Mariachis play my favorite canciòn, La Negra, buying exquisite silver and turquoise jewelry, visiting the magnificent reverent Church of Santa Prisa, to our trip up the mountain to our hotel, it was a trip of a lifetime...one l will never forget. The only complaint l have is that it was too short a visit on our trip from Mexico City to Acapulco😭
Taxco is a magnificent colonial town by any means. Really worth it to spend a couple of days there!! There are tons of shops selling silver jewelry, and many places end unique hand made pieces. Prices are good. The church itself is made from light pink rock: really beautiful.
