Beautiful Mayan temples on the Yucatan peninsula. There are about 6 sets of ruins on the same site centered around the main temple. A lot of incredible history can be found here. Many vendors are on the site as well. Warning, they say the items are 20 pesos, but that is mainly to get you to browse. Make sure to bring protective headgear, sun screen and water.

Full of history and unfortunately of vendors as well. If one is into history it's worth it.... you know why! Really easy to imagine the past, it's so well preserved. But: it's hot, the vendors are selling touristy staff and not water, and signaling and guiding has long way to go. We end up in the hotel zone and back entry. Some dude charge us 150 pesos for parking without a receipt. The card reader Was "not working" to buy tickets. So we have to pay cash and they take only pesos, which I totally understand. It's not cheap. Approx 500 pesos/person. So : bring water, bring pesos, look on a map before getting there to find the right entrance and read ahead to know what are you looking at. But is a owsome piece of history! Impressive!!

Plan to spend plenty of time here if you want to see it all. There is a lot here to look at other than the most popular pyramid. Tour guides are nice and speak many different languages, but some are more knowledgeable than others...

Great wonder of Mexico or even the world. Must be with a tour guide to see the highlights. had a great one. He demonstrated how to create the ancient bird sound from one of the monuments through clapping. Huge archaeological site therefore be ready with a lot of walking. Bring a huge hat, water and comfy shoes. Humid and hot. very interesting place. Well preserved and a lot of things to see. So many vendors. Need at least 2 hours to explore the place.
