Krakow - A magical place

Krakow is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. The city center or ‘old town’ is incredibly preserved, the architecture will take you back emotionally to the middle ages. The city is filled with beautiful cathedrals that are definitely worth experiencing.

BaniaLuka
Kurt R.:Banja Luca is probably the best value place in Krakow to drink since the venue is open almost 24/7 with drinks priced at around 4zl (1usd). The venue also serves traditional Polish food and has a beautiful wooden interior that is mystical to drink at when escaping the cold. Located on the edge of the main square, its a great location for good drinks/food and nice vibes. The venue is popular amongst British tourists on Sundays with football being played on the big screen. Perfect for people of all ages.

Wieliczka Salt Mine
Kurt R.:The salt-mine is located 16km from the city center of Krakow. 800 steps take you down to an underground world seemingly frozen in time. There is the option to go down by elevator for an additional fee perfect for anyone who struggles with mobility. It is a surreal experience and will likely be like nothing you have witnessed before. The mine was operating from the 13th century until 1996 where it no longer became economical to continue mining for salt as well as frequent flooding’s.

Wavelo - Schindler's Factory
Kurt R.:If you loved the classic movie ‘Schindler’s List’ you will be fascinated to see where Oskar Schindler lived and worked. The museum is located at the center of Krakow next to the main castle. The museum allows tourists to take photos inside so you can hold on to your memories forever. The museum candidly recites the story of Nazi occupation throughout Poland. Most of the museum is related to the history of Krakow, Poland and WW2 with only about a quarter of museum focusing on the life of Oskar Schindler.
