This unique 'Restaurant' is a very popular tourist destination - the audience during our session was 90% Australian/American. While it was definitely out of the ordinary, half of the show was about the performances while the other half was promotions for food and merchandise. Let me clarify - it is not a 'restaurant' in the conventional sense. There is food available, but it is not where I would recommend you have dinner as the portions sizes for the meals were very small and we did better with the popcorn. It was a fun experience, and definitely something I'd never seen the likes of before. The performers were energetic and the robots impressive. It just didn't have the wow factor I was expecting!

There are flashing lights, robots fighting, cute girls and alcohol. My son absolutely loved it. He is 4. Make sure you get ear muffs for your child, it is a bit loud. The drinks and food looked good, but we only had popcorn a coke, and beer. I'm not sure if I would want to eat there. The famous prefect of Shinjuku, where it is located is a bit sketch. The show is in a seedy area of town, so be smart and keeps your wits about you. I didn't feel unsafe, but I did notice that there was a change in the demeanor of the people around me. A word of advice, if you take the JR train to do things, make sure you know which exit is the closest and don't just get off in Shinjuku because it has the same name as the area you are going too. We got off and ended up having to cab it... when two more stops on the train would have put us right at the destination or at least closer.

The robot restaurant is an amazing experience and place to visit and show to watch. As to Australians out for some adventure in the crazy city of Tokyo, we were not disappointed at all by this extravaganza. The costumes, the robots, the special affects, and all The performers were just top notch! We cannot recommend this place enough - check it out for yourself!

I'd been here a while and always considered this just another tourist trap. But I was wrong - this place is a sensory experience worth checking out! It is loud, in your face, funny, campy, and enjoyable. Make sure you buy your photos through some provider other than the "restaurant" website to get the best deal. We used Expedia.

It is totally worth it! I considered skipping this but very happy I didn't. It is truly one of the greatest shows on Earth. The show will blow your mind. There are primarily middle aged adults 20-40 years old so the atmosphere is very fun and friendly. The preshow in the piano lounge is a show of it's own and I really enjoyed it.
