Dinner was absolutely art last night at Ise Sueyoshi. 10 courses, 8 sakes, only 5 seats and all ingredients from the chef’s hometown. You can easily see why it is the #1 restaurant in Tokyo. An experience worth flying to Japan for itself.

An amazing meal and experience. We were in good hands with the chef and his crew. He explained the taste and source of every element - he even had a phonebook with the story of everyone involved in sourcing, growing, or catching the food! Definitely do the sake pairing! A little bit of an adventure. In a normal restaurant setting, I wouldn't have ordered any of these things off of a menu. But I ended up loving it, and having a really great night. The location is small but comfortable. We almost had a hard time finding it, but the hostess came down the street level to accompany us up.

The food is good. The owner takes the meal very seriously and try his best to make the customer happy and takes time to explain every dish that is served including explaining where and how the products are picked. Very good service and experience.
