Beautiful garden, great place for a walk. Entrance fee is reasonable. Kids are free, seniors are half price, and the rest of us are like $5. The restored house in the middle is fantastic. The old pine tree is neat. The story of falconry was fascinating.
A beautiful park with a pond in the middle and fish jumping. the place is very well kept, but you do have to excuse a few construction areas where they make repairs. the park is hundreds of years old, so you do have to give them a little bit of a break. It was nice just walking around and relaxing.
Great and beautiful place to get away from it all. 300 yen gets you in and there is plenty to see and enjoy the marvels of this garden. I would go back a second time if given the chance.
This is a beautiful, peaceful respite from the hustle and bustle of its Tokyo surroundings. Natural and tailored spaces, plus traditional mixed with a hint of modern. This is a great place to just sit and watch birds feeding on insects or ducks cleaning themselves. Enough water around to cool the breezes and give you a small break in temperatures.
It was personally my favourite garden in Tokyo. It was lovely to visit and the map is useful to follow for finding the different areas within the gardens. You can spend a brief amount of time here and still enjoy the history and beauty of it.
