Japan’s favorite dollar store. Has a wide variety of neat products at ridiculously low prices. The top floor has some of the most interesting products. This includes shelf dividers, mosquito incense carriers, stuffed animals and lots of other things for kitchen and laundry. Second floor is more knick knack and cosmetics based. First floor has tons of food.
A three-floor store in one of Japan's premiere tourist trap, Daiso is a one-stop shop for purchasing souvenirs. The first floor is full of snacks you'd buy and distribute to your friends, while the second floor has stationaries, cables, etc. The third floor is mainly for residents, as it sells household items (cookware, dishes, cleaning items, storage boxes, etc.). However, as this Daiso branch is located on a tourist trap, the lines here can get quite long. In addition, most of the times the shop is too crowded for one to explore all the aisles. And since mostly tourists come here, weekdays are also crowded too.
Why pay ¥3,000 for a (maybe leather?) wallet at Donqui, when you can get a standard cloth for ¥300 here!? When in Rome, do as they do; I didn't want to be "that guy" folding his bills in a bi-fold. Find your Japanese style, long wallet here. Count on Daiso for good inexpensive gifts and daily needs. Most items, and sometimes even different styles of the same items can be found in different locations. So take a good look around if you don't find exactly what you want at one location.
Variety of items available for 100yen/1dollar.. But most of the products are made in China.. Quality is assured.. Have to have a deep look before you buy...
Don't have much money but still want to shop? This is the place. Makes you feel better walking out with a bunch of useful and tasty products after spending only 500 yen 😁
