Aokigahara (青木ヶ原), also known as the Sea of Trees (樹海, Jukai), is a forest on the northwestern flank of Japan's Mount Fuji, thriving on 30 square kilometres (12 sq mi) of hardened lava laid down by the last major eruption of Mount Fuji in 864 CE.[1] The western edge of Aokigahara, where there are several caves that fill with ice in winter, is a popular destination for tourists and school trips. Parts of Aokigahara are very dense, and the porous lava absorbs sound, helping to provide visitors with a sense of solitude.
What can I say? Place was AMAZING. They could do something about the littering and horrible smells in some areas, but overall, I had a blast. Not sure if someone spiked my tea before I went here, but it made it even more enjoyable. Once I got off the path, whatever it was, it started to kick in.
We went as a family it was amazing one of the most beautiful places I have ever been. We even met a family crying we couldn't understand what they were saying though. we also saw someone doing pull-ups on a tree but not moving up but anyways it was amazing.
Had fun walking off the trails and seeing all the trees. Could use some cleaning because theres a lot of ropes sitting around :/ Found some interesting decorations on the trees, dont know if those were large Christmas ornaments or what. Overall, me and Logan had a good time 👍
Dark Forest . . A voice in the dark a light in the haze A flame that burns then fades away
