The Black River Safari Tour is located on the southern section of Jamaica. It is the longest navigable river on the island and has a rich history in the development of the town in earlier years. This as a result of the ships from Britain which would sail to Black River to purchase log wood for making dye. Now home to the friendliest crocodiles ever, visitors get the opportunity to see nature at its best. Tour consists of a 1 1/2-hour scenic drive from Montego Bay through the mountains and along the shore line through many small towns and villages.
Visitors will get a 45 minutes-1 hour ride aboard a covered boat with comfortable seats as the captain take them on a hunt to see the crocodiles. When one is spotted, he will call them by their name, they will swim up to the boat and he will pet and feed them while visitors take pictures. The captain will fill you in on the rich history of the town, the river, the crocodiles and everything in your surrounding. Experience this slow moving boat ride along the river banks passing different species of birds, flora and fauna, lots of aerial roots mangrove and get up close with nature.
