Built by Cardinal Giovanni Vitelleschi between 1436 and 1439, and designed by Giovanni Dalmata, it is a true architectural masterpiece with the simultaneous presence of Gothic and Renaissance elements.

The Etruscan Necropolis of Monterozzi is located east of Tarquinia, and counts approximately 6000 tombs. Most of them are spaces dug into the rock, and surmounted by tumulus. The oldest date back to the 7th century BC.

A nice walk through the narrow streets of the historical center of Tarquinia: Piazza Giacomo Matteotti, where you will find the Palazzo Comunale, and the monumental 18th century fountain.
