The view is on par with the one from Torre degli Asinelli, and the tower actually seems to have a richer history, having been even a private residence in the last century. The guides are volunteers and pretty young, and that shows the tower might have some hidden value, which is actually obscured by the popularity of Torre degli Asinelli.

Beautiful experience. The tower is managed by an association that takes care of the visit. Usually on Sundays. Visit the "happens only in bologna" website for dates and times. The climb is quite doable. The view deserves. I recommend comfortable shoes and pants

Experience recommended for those who want to observe Bologna from a new point of view and are not afraid to take many wooden steps. I am a student of the University of Bologna and I have not yet had the opportunity to climb the Asinelli tower for good luck. It was a great opportunity to do this without breaking the tradition of climbing the towers after graduation. The ticket for us students only cost 5 euros, no queues, no need to book in advance and above all the super friendly and professional staff of Succedesoloabologna. ⚠️ I recommend to dress comfortably and not to have bulky bags (better a backpack) because once the visit is over, to go back you have to go down the wooden steps on the contrary, they are quite steep and it is not very comfortable if you are wearing objects bulky and various types of envelopes (e.g. if you bought something in a shop). only flaw: we were promised an explanation once we got to the top but the guide did not interact with us unless he was asked, he then confessed that for her it was her first day on the tower, we went down with a smile☺️

Currently, the tower is only visited on Sundays, tickets can be purchased at the desk before entering. Recommended visit, personally preferable to the Asinelli Tower
