The food & beverage options at Stazione di Venezia are rather impressive to say the least. I was also particularly struck by the attention to detail that was given to the outside seating area. It is far more akin to a proper restaurant, and far more inviting than what one can expect to find at a State Side train station food court. I tip my cap to the architect responsible for that section of the station.

Very easy to use the trains in Venice. Signs are all in English for every thing and help available if you need it. We travels first class and it's more comfortable then coach in a plane. Trains are very clean and on time.

The Santa Lucia station was romantic in my childhood impression. Yes, in fact it was just an imaginary. Haaaa~ We take the train for 1 hour to go to another city. The station can easily buy tickets. We used the vending machine to buy tickets, the station may walk around to full shop in about 30 minutes. There are restaurants, supermarkets, beauty stores, gift shops, socks shop and clothing store. Platform guide is clear and won't get lost.

I love this station. It is not very big but handles lot of traffic. Restrooms are paid. Station shops are wonderful and not expensive. Gelato, coffee and snacks are easily available round the clock. A corner restaurant serves you pizza, salads, snacks, and usual drinks. Just outside of the station porters are available to take your luggage to your hotel.

Good looking, well designed station. Clean toilets, a range of food options and a number of shops in which you’ll very likely find all you need. There is also a boat terminal right outside the building itself with connections running all the way to Piazza San Marco. The station is great for train spotting as well, if that’s something that you’re into.
