Spiaggia di Maria Pia, 07041 Alghero SS, Italy
Nice beach close to Alghero city center (15 min by car). There is nothing extraordinary but the beach is an optimal one if you don't want to go too far from Alghero. There are conifer trees which emit wonderful aroma and under which you can try to hide from the sun. There is both paid parking (you get a ticket from a machine) and free parking along nearby streets. The first 20 meters into the sea are very shallow which is a pro if you are with kids or just enjoy standing in the water like many Italians do, but might be a small con if you want to swim in deep water.
One of the Best beaches in Sardinia
A lovely beach to visit.. family friendly and have been told by a few locals that this is one of their favourite beaches.. easy access and wasn't busy at all when we visited in October, can hire sun loungers and umbrellas on the beach however prob best to bring your own as we only found one company offering them for rent.. Could be more during peak times? Other than that a peaceful place to be .. White sand and clear water!
Amazing and calm place. In certain corners you could feel like on a lonely island : only you, the sea and wonderful nature. The best beach on Sardinia I swear 😉
Going through the pines and see the turquoise water is always an incredible experience.
