The Caffe Pedrocchi special mint cream coffee really is delicious. It was worth the trip and a nice place in central Padova to sit down and relax for a minute.
What can I say. This place took my breath away 😋 amazing esthetic, food, drink, staff, music.... Just wow
Went to the posh half for a late night coffee. Totally ignored for fifteen minutes (a waiter and a manager came in to the room we were in, had an animated discussion and then left without so much of a glance around to see if anyone wanted anything) so gave up and went to their less-formal cafe. Very good chocolate, but mediocre coffee. Gent's lavatories were slightly smelly, cramped, and the flushing mechanism missing from the wall.
We were lucky enough to spend a day here for our friends' wedding, and it was a wonderful experience from start to finish. The building itself is beautiful; elegant, ornate, airy, with - on the first floor where our reception took place - a couple of outdoor terraces and balconies to look out over the square while enjoying a drink. The food was incredible and, this being an Italian wedding, there was lots of it. Starters included cuttlefish on polenta, octopus salad and bresaola, as well as a delicious pumpkin and amaretti cream soup. There was an excellently al dente risotto course, a perfect parcel of raviolo, and beautifully cooked chateaubriand to follow. The staff were attentive and friendly, while being professional and discreet too. A brilliant day in a unique place - definitely worth a visit.
Watch out for the hungry pigeons!! 6€ aperol spritz. Once they bring the snacks that accompany the drinks, finish them. If not the pigeons are ready to dive for them...
