We had such a great experience in Veranna, and loved this hotel. They have a great restaurant, great views, great pool and terrace, and even a little lake beach. Everything we wanted in lake como.

Good but like many places in Italy the have alot of hidden fees. We ended up paying over $200 dollars more when checking out. For example "using the hotel's private beach"

Fabulous romantic Hotel on Lake Como. Smaller than usual room with a bar fridge that was not working. The bed was very comfortable and the terrace balcony opened onto some of the most magnificent scenery in the world. Great for a romantic weekend or mid week getaway. The restaurant serves great local delicacies. All in all a great hotel .

Fabulous lake view from rather small room with Juliet balcony. Good breakfast, & bar makes delicious cocktails. Varenna a good location from which to explore Lake Como. We travelled by train from Milan & so are restricted to Varenna for evenings (ferries stop running fairly early) but there are many restaurants to choose from. A coffee bar on the water's edge has excellent live late night jazz twice weekly.
